Rare first issue Gibson Les Paul 1960 Classic with ‘model’ on headstock rather than the later issues which was changed to ‘Classic’. This is also classed as a Yamano, meaning it was for the Japanese market. Yamano was the distributer for Gibson in Japan.
This is a stunning player and looks amazing. The plain honey burst is wonderful. Neck has the skin 60’s profile. Condition for it’s age is very good, not heavy rash or knocks, some light marks on the headstock edges and some marks in the light on the body. There is a mark in the lacquer on the rear, not sure of the cause of that but it is a line of discolouration you can see in the rear images.
This is a great example of an early Les Paul Classic.
Comes with it’s original brown hard case, booklet and Japanese dealer card.
Although every guitar is checked at the point of buy in for condition we try to describe as accurately as possible and with the nature of every vintage, modern, used guitar you will always find blemishes held in certain lights that we have not solely pointed out.
These are usually very small lacquer marks or polish swirls and you have to expect a margin of very light marks that go undetected in usual lit environments.
Very good given age
