I do love a Gibson L6, this is the bolt on maple neck version from 1974/5.

The wine red finish was also known as ‘The Midnight Special’ and looks glorious.

The maple neck is slim around the nut and feels super comfortable.

The rear of the headstock bares the common ‘2’ or ‘second stamp’.

Pots are original as are the bill Lawrence designed pickups which are an important part of the L6 sound.

The L6 next to the brother L6S which we also have in stock, are similar apart from this has the standard three way toggle and straight volume and tone plus strung through body and both have the slim body design.

It is great to have the pair in, at least of the time this listing goes live.

Frets are in good shape and generally is very good condition for a 50/1 year old guitar.

There is a line of lacquer shrinkage on the rear as seen in the images which is only the lacquer, it does not extend to the wood.

This comes with a gig bag but should a suitable hard case come in I shall pair the two up.

Although every guitar is checked at the point of buy in for condition we try to describe as accurately as possible and with the nature of every vintage, modern, used guitar you will always find blemishes held in certain lights that we have not solely pointed out. 

These are usually very small lacquer marks or polish swirls and you have to expect a margin of very light marks that go undetected in usual lit environments.
