Those who know will know. Among many well known luthiers, Terry Morgan, Nash etc, Nigel Crinson is one who sadly no longer makes these. I have had a handful of his guitars over the years and each one has been outstanding. One piece body, with smuggler rout.
Just to clarify, these are replicas not fakes, the difference being that there are discerning features that will not confused beyond doubt that you are not buying an original Fender / Gibson etc. By that I mean these are no familiar neck date stamps, serials however the logo. They re a homage to classic guitars made to spec.
This is an early 2002 model, it has a mode slimmer profile of a 52 rather than the usual big fat B’caster.
Weight is just over 8lb, not the lightest for a blackguard but acoustically super resonant that would trick the ear into thinking otherwise.
The relic finish is sublime, heavy crazing and ageing on the neck especially the rear is very authentic.
The pick ups are Seymour Duncan Antiquities.
This is a must to be viewed.
Comes with Fender tweed hardcore.
