Fender hardtail Stratocaster in natural with maple neck made in 1977.
Interesting history of this one.
It once belonged to guitarist and musician John Benson who has writing, song and performance credits with Stevie Wonder, Bobbie Womack to name a few and later on in his career managed the pop band Allsaints at the start and height of their popdom.
Sadly John passed away in 2016 and his son came to me with that to sell to me.
It had the serial number defaced and had a sticker over it which could have removed the number on removal. The sticker saying ‘Mister’ is in the custom made flight case that it comes with.
His son was born in 1987 and he has photos of him as a baby with this guitar in the back ground and is believed he had this guitar for the years prior.
It’s in great condition with the usual signs of wear with the odd small mark. Frets are in near perfect shape.
All pots, and pick ups are original and there serial number is still retained on the underside of the scratch guard, dating it to ’77.
Plays superb, nice tight neck pocket join too.
Comes with it’s late 70’s style touring flight case.
This will come with a letter from Johns son for authenticity.
Very good given age
