I love these, Fender USA Bullet made in 1981. The colour is Ivory white and has aged beautifully to the deep creamy yellow you see.
These have a great history and story been that fender had to make a replacement for the Mustang and to use up parts so this is what they came up with.
Interestingly the first run were rosewood boards and contrary to popular belief that these were left over 60’s necks, there weren’t due to the fact that they had no marker on the 21st fret.
Later in 81 when they produced the slab maple neck with walnut skink stripe, they did put a marker on the 21st fret and these are quite rare and this is what this has.
It’s a great guitar and the over stock Mustang pick ups’s really sounds great and full. The neck is skin and has that typical; wide feel to iy.
The body does show some patina including small dings, it has been played!
Frets are clean as is the maple neck.
Some marks to the metal plate.
Comes with original manual and original Fender hard case.
This is a real head turner! Great to have this in.
Although every guitar is checked at the point of buy in for condition we try to describe as accurately as possible and with the nature of every vintage, modern, used guitar you will always find blemishes held in certain lights that we have not solely pointed out.
These are usually very small lacquer marks or polish swirls and you have to expect a margin of very light marks that go undetected in usual lit environments.
