Absolutely stunning 2019 Fender custom shop relic, Baked pine Double Esquire.
The Fender Custom Shop do some pretty special things, and with the Custom Shop Limited Edition Roasted Pine Double Esquire they really push the boundaries of Leo Fenders vision.
This guitar has some serious mojo! With a traditional sort for lightweight Roasted Pine body, finished naturally it looks super slick, the Roasted Pine Esquire has a unique relic’d nitro finish, this gives the look and feel of a vintage guitar but with all the tone and playability of a modern one. This finish will wear beautifully with time and develop its own character even further. It also allows the natural resonance of the body to sing and sustain much more effectively compared with other finishes.
The fat V neck is crafted from rift sawn Maple and features a 50 Blackguard profile, it’s real comfortable and with a 7.25″-9.5″ compound radius and 21 medium vintage frets it’s smooth and at home playing slick runs and crisp chords right up the neck.
Classic Fender tones come curtosy of a pair of Hand Wound Blackguard 50-51 pickups. As one of the most elusive guitars in Fender’s history the Double Esquire has secured itself in history.
Comes with OHSC, floor traveller, cert, tags, alternative control plate, ashtray cover and strap.
