Fender USA Stratocaster with the E4 serial which are more commonly 1987/88 issues and the pots do date to ’88.
These were left over stock more likely from the Fullerton run from ’81 to ’84.
The white has faded wonderfully to a cream hue. The usual swimming pool rout is present and the pick ups and pots with the tone stack are original. The neck isn’t wide and thin like some can be from this period and this has a more traditional medium C feel about it.
Frets have minimum wear.. and the maple board is clean. There is a ding to the lacquer on the heel which has chipped the lacquer but has zero affect on structure or playability, purely cosmetic. Other than that the whole guitar is very clean.
The guard has been changed to a mint green which offsets the vintage white perfectly. Original guars is not with the sale.
Great slinky player and the pick ups have a very nice output and creamy tone.
Comes with OHSC.
Although every guitar is checked at the point of buy in for condition we try to describe as accurately as possible and with the nature of every vintage, modern, used guitar you will always find blemishes held in certain lights that we have not solely pointed out.
These are usually very small lacquer marks or polish swirls and you have to expect a margin of very light marks that go undetected in usual lit environments.
