Fender USA Standard Stratocaster made in 1987 which was the first year for the production of the USA Standard.
The E4 serial numbers were remaining from old stock and can be confused as being earlier.
The Standard was redesigned in 1986 and then was released in ’87 featuring the two point trem and tilt adjustment neck on the 4 bolt plate plus lower tone TBX control.
All original, and this sounds absolutely fantastic.
There is some wear to the maple board around the first three frets (frets have minimal wear) as you can see in the images, its none intrusive to playing and really adds to the patina. Condition wise, it’s very clean for it’s age, it does have a little rash haze on the rear and a hazing in busy places, I can also see one small mark on the front when held in light.
Tis comes in it’s original Fender rectangle embossed logo hard case. One latch missing and has some stickers but is clean inside and functional and in good condition.
Plays and sounds superb, one very vibe laden Strat and excellent example of the first year reintroduction of the Standard.
