This is something very special, Fender 1964 Mustang pre CBS. July ’64 which is not only the first year but also the first month of production. In its original Red finish, more later know as Dakota red.
All original including grey bobbin Strat pick ups. This plays beautifully, set up great with the 7.25 radius. Frets are original and in fine shape with minimal wear to the Brazilian board.
The finish has play and age related wear, rash and crazing which has worn to the base. Fantastic patina that I would want to see!
Original bridge plate, lead and strap included as is the original silver case which is in very good condition.
This is one not to missed! Viewing is essential!
Although every guitar is checked at the point of buy in for condition we try to describe as accurately as possible and with the nature of every vintage, modern, used guitar you will always find blemishes held in certain lights that we have not solely pointed out.
These are usually very small lacquer marks or polish swirls and you have to expect a margin of very light marks that go undetected in usual lit environments.
