About the Gibson 1969 SG Special**SOLD

Stunning Gibson 1969 SG Special, with short vibrola in cherry finish.
One great clean example for it’s age. All original, pots, caps, jack socket and switch. Also machine heads and pickups. Pots date to 34th week of 1969.
This is an absolute joy to play and the P90’s are about the best I have heard.
The finish does show crazing as to be expected and the entire body front and back black lights beautifully.
No repairs etc. This is a late 69 model just as the volute came in but prior to ‘Made in USA’ stamp under the serial.
There are a few lacquer marks from sellotape on the rear (probable from a set list) which again is minor and some slight wear to the finish on the neck.
Frets are quite low but function perfectly and are original.
Comes with original hard case although has the handle missing.
A great example, lot’s of life left in this.
I’d rate it higher than player grade but as collector grade goes I’d put it at 8/10 as it’s not a case queen but is a clean example.
