Probably my favourite Gibson Les Paul’s. This one being a 1971/2 Gold Top Deluxe.
Pot dates to 71 but the Embossed Gibson pickups were largely 1972 but they did come in late 71 so have put this as cross over years.
Mahogany neck and back as on pre 1974 Les Paul’s. This plays so good, it’s acoustically resonant and the ini humbuckers are full with precise tone. Stunning. Machine heads have been changed to Grovers at some point, a common upgrade.
For a 50 year old guitar it’s ageing very well, the usual green hue in contact areas and pro refret. Light wear to the lower fret board which does not affect playability.
There is age and use appropriate wear, scratches and dings and light rash consistent with use but generally I’d say it’s been loved and looked after conscientiously for many years.
No breaks or repairs.
Comes with a later Chainsaw case.
This must be viewed and played.

Although every guitar is checked at the point of buy in for condition we try to describe as accurately as possible and with the nature of every vintage, modern, used guitar you will always find blemishes held in certain lights that we have not solely pointed out.
These are usually very small lacquer marks or polish swirls and you have to expect a margin of very light marks that go undetected in usual lit environments.
