Beautiful 1975 (99 serial) Gibson ES335 in Walnut. This has a transition serial, oval stamp where it would have been water slide but this has the correct 6 digit stamp system and no Made in USA stamp. Wonderful condition for its age with very little play wear. Frets are original a super clean with little to zero wear.
No dings etc. Some natural patina with age in places, a little crazing under some lights is visible. The T-Top pick ups of course are superb.
The Walnut shade is great and quite flat which is nice to see the difference on the Norlin eras. Trapeze bridge is all original too and like the all of the hardware, there is little no no signs of oxidisation. The neck is slim but bonbon skinny and is three piece Mahogany. The profile quite typical of the time if you have tried a few you’ll find them quite similar.
One superb example of an early 70’s. Comes with its original hard case. A little tatty but still very functional.
Although every guitar is checked at the point of buy in for condition we try to describe as accurately as possible and with the nature of every vintage, modern, used guitar you will always find blemishes held in certain lights that we have not solely pointed out.
These are usually very small lacquer marks or polish swirls and you have to expect a margin of very light marks that go undetected in usual lit environments.
