My absolute favourite Gibson Les Paul’s, the Deluxe. Those mini humbuckers…nothing mini in tone. Huge sweet tones, clean or driven just sound incredible.
This one is a 1979 and very good example. Wonderful Tobacco burst, some wear to the finish on underside of the neck and upper bout where your arm rests. Nice to see some honest play wear. Some buckle rash and a mark on the rear edge as pictured.
Oddly this has an ebony board. Around this time Gibson also had the Pro Deluxe which had P90’s and ‘Pro’ truss cover which had the ebony board also. I can only assume that this is one that escaped from the Pro line. All pots are date correct and solders appear unbroken so it’s not a conversion.
Either way, this is one incredible player, super resonant and slinky.

These are usually very small lacquer marks or polish swirls and you have to expect a margin of very light marks that go undetected in usual lit environments.
