Gibson 1980 Marauder with the lesser seen Mahogany body and blend control which makes me think why didn’t they do this feature on all the Marauders!
Three piece maple neck has a good chunk to it and feel great in the hand. All pots are original and date to 78/9. Pick ups are superb and Gibson made some very underrated single coils care of Bill Lawrence on these which are factory epoxy filled. This has a very Telecaster like twang, I find it’s great for country Rock, great for digging in and getting the amp breaking up nicely as you do so.
Condition wise the body does have surface wear and tear but is consistent with care full use over nearly 45 years. Frets are flat, typical for the era and plays very nice. One od the headstock wings has at some point been re glues which you can feel a slight step. I’ve set this up with 11-48 as 10’s feel a little light on this. One of those guitars that decides the gauge over your personal preference, though you’d still think these were 10’s by slinky feel. I LOVE Norlin era guitars, especially the ‘oddballs’ that the Les Paul Lovers don’t quite adhere to with their bold on neck construction. Its one very vibe guitar with a tonne of songs in and if they were good enough for Ronnie wood who am I to question.
Comes with a. on original hard case, tatty but functional.

Although every guitar is checked at the point of buy in for condition we try to describe as accurately as possible and with the nature of every vintage, modern, used guitar you will always find blemishes held in certain lights that we have not solely pointed out.
These are usually very small lacquer marks or polish swirls and you have to expect a margin of very light marks that go undetected in usual lit environments.
