This is incredible, Gibson 2017 R8, ’58 reissue in aged black over burst finish.
This was one of 5 colours in the range and only 50 were produced world wide.
The available colours were, Kerry Green over dark burst, Gold over Cherry Burst, Black over Cherry burst, Black over gold and classic white over burst.
These rarely come up for sale.
Lovely fat 50’s neck and the ageing is subtle and superb. Light weight at 8lb 5oz.
Plays and sounds fantastic and the Custom Buckers are the best in the reissues.
It’s an absolute treat to have this the shop and I’ll be enjoying it while it is.
Comes with all tags, the original Gold knobs have since been replaced on the guitar since the photo’s were taken. The Lifton hard case is also aged and looks great, nice touch!.
Although every guitar is checked at the point of buy in for condition we try to describe as accurately as possible and with the nature of every vintage, modern, used guitar you will always find blemishes held in certain lights that we have not solely pointed out.
These are usually very small lacquer marks or polish swirls and you have to expect a margin of very light marks that go undetected in usual lit environments.
