Gibson 2001 Les Paul Custom in a Ebony. A wonderful example of a 24….yes 24 years, I too had to think 2001 was 24 years ago. Anyway….this is a wonderful Custom, the ebony shade is ageing well and the binding is now yellowing wonderfully and there are some lacquer cracks in places that are visual but not so to the touch.

Original 498 and 490 pick ups which were used until late 2001. The pick guars is missing in action but you can find an appropriately aged one on line should you wish to replace. The finish has a wonderful patina, so so much dings or heavy rash, though there is very slight polish swirls in the light.

It has also been regretted to a wonderful standard and does play fantastically well. Truss works perfectly and the finish black lights as it should only showing one mark of nitro burn from a goose neck stand.

Pretty usual Custom weight at slightly over 10lb but feels actually lighter in my opinion.

One great Custom to have in! A real looker and this plays and sounds superb.

Comes with it’s original brown hard case.

Although every guitar is checked at the point of buy in for condition we try to describe as accurately as possible and with the nature of every vintage, modern, used guitar you will always find blemishes held in certain lights that we have not solely pointed out. 

These are usually very small lacquer marks or polish swirls and you have to expect a margin of very light marks that go undetected in usual lit environments.
