This is one very interesting early to mid ’60’s Hofner Verythin. A custom order wide 2″ body instead of the usual 1″.
I cannot find another example of this and is the first I have known about having had many in over the years.
From the front it is the classic Verythin design. It’s a very nice example to see that is in great order too. No neck reset and has been fretted at some point. One very nice slinky player.
Some strum marks on the upper bout and some light play wear but for it’s age it’s in very good condition. Some finish marks to the neck rear.
The pick ups sound great and all the controls work as they should but are probably a little tired. For the sake of originality I’ll keep it this way – which is perfectly working – but any player would most likely see some modern pot’s in there going forward. Has had a trem arm (included) fitted and you can see two little wear marks under the tail piece. Purely cosmetic.
A very wonderful Hofner to have in.

Although every guitar is checked at the point of buy in for condition we try to describe as accurately as possible and with the nature of every vintage, modern, used guitar you will always find blemishes held in certain lights that we have not solely pointed out.
These are usually very small lacquer marks or polish swirls and you have to expect a margin of very light marks that go undetected in usual lit environments.
