Absolutely stunning 1991, the first year of profusion, Rickenbacker 660/12TP Tom Petty Signature in a gorgeous birdie Fireglo finish. 1000 units were made of these worldwide.

These are a highly sought after signature series model and only having three of these in 13 years its and absolute pleasure to have this in.

it is not collector grade and so is prices a little under market value. The finish is showing some lacquer checking on the body and headstock and some lacquer chipping on the inner neck join which is a common occurrence on some Rickenbacker lacquer. However there has been no repairs or neck stresses. The guitar black lights perfectly.

The original cert is missing but it does have a replacement which unfortunately the the last digit was read wrong as an 8 when it should be a 0. I’m looking to rectify this so at least it does have a cert copy.

The original silver case and manual are included.

Playability is wonderful, the slightly wider neck on the 660 makes the string spacing easier to play. The Fireglo finish is so mellow on this and along with the Birdseye maple top, is framed by the dogtooth binding.
