Squier JV Stratocaster 1983.

Not had a Squier JV in for a while and I’m excited to have this in being that I’m familiar with this particular one through setting it up in the past. It really is an absolute treasure this one.
Squier JV came out in the spring of ’82 and ran into ’83 before becoming SQ serial in late ’83 into ’84.
These were stunningly built in Japan to 50’s and 60’s traditional spec to basically hold off the competition from Tokai and the like, who were building fantastic replicas under their own branding at the time.
This one has a wonderful patina to it with some minor bumps here and there as you’d expect. My friend has an original ’63 Fender Strat that we got to compared them both a few weeks ago and cosmetically it was incredible how these were in similarity, neck profiles, rosewood, body contour and the aged guards.
This is a phenomenal player and JV example.
It has a had the trem block replaced recently with a correct vintage spec one due to the trem arm snapping in the original. Both original arm and block are included and is possible to repair given the correct tools.
Comes with an 80’s style rectangle hard case non Fender type.
