This is beautiful and very rare, Tokai ES100R in original Nitro Lacquer Cherry finish made in 1981. The figuring on the body is outstanding and some of the best I have seen. The carves really stand out in almost any angle you look at. These were built using old growth woods and arguably tone woods which were such a high spec for the time.

This is based on the ’59 spec which includes the longer guard, Mickey Mouse ear shape and Gotoh S stamped PAF type pick ups which sound glorious.. A prime example of craftsmanship from the Lawsuit era.

All original including the electronics apart from the bridge and tailpiece that has been changed for matching early 80’s FujiGen parts.

this has at some point in it’s life had s neck crack repair which has been done sympathetically to a hight standard and is solid.

This is an outstanding lawsuit Tokai and a strand out in it’s field. A wonderful resonant player.

For its age it is in fantastic condition, naturally there are some minor marks in places but is minimal.

Comes with a modern hard case.

Although every guitar is checked at the point of buy in for condition we try to describe as accurately as possible and with the nature of every vintage, modern, used guitar you will always find blemishes held in certain lights that we have not solely pointed out. 

These are usually very small lacquer marks or polish swirls and you have to expect a margin of very light marks that go undetected in usual lit environments.
