This is one great amp to have in, VOX AC4 made in 1965, fantastic condition for it’s age. One of the cleanest I have encountered.
It has had a few components replaced due to deterioration of some values of some components, natural with age, it is an electrical appliance after all!
The speaker has been replaced also and the original is with the sale. The coil seems fine, on sound there is overtone on notes suggesting coil rub but it feels ok on tests. The cone itself has some creases but no visual tears. Worth having it reconed though in the future.
This sounds great! The tremolo is very musical and the tone act’s more like a cut.
