Stunning Gibson LPR8 R8 ’58 Les Paul Reissue from the Custom Shop made in 2013.
Beautiful washed, aged cherry burst finish plain top but with some particularly nice grain. Light weight at 9lb. Some slight surface rash on the rear and the odd edge mark, albeit minor, this is still v very clean for an 11 year old guitar.
The neck rear cherry is fading wonderfully and there are still signs of pinking on the binding.
Fat 50’s neck feels fantastic. This plays wonderful and is acoustically resonant with that perfect woody tone.
The neck pick up is the stock Custombucker and the neck has been further upgraded to a sSeth Lover which is outstanding.
Comes with the original Lifton case, some slight rear, cert, tags and Check sheet.
Although every guitar is checked at the point of buy in for condition we try to describe as accurately as possible and with the nature of every vintage, modern, used guitar you will always find blemishes held in certain lights that we have not solely pointed out.
These are usually very small lacquer marks or polish swirls and you have to expect a margin of very light marks that go undetected in usual lit environments.
