Gretsch promises many small upgrades in this edition that preserve the authentic vintage sound along with modern and comfortable usability: the FT-67 Filter’Tron™ pickups offer a vintage sound with a tone tailored for contemporary music; Gretsch “ML” ribbing gives the maple body a thickness of 2.5″ large sound; the passive “Squeezebox” and “Treble Bleed” circuits in the electronics again take care of the vintage character while maintaining a richness of tone suitable for modern instruments.

The rosewood fingerboard with rounded edges features 22 medium jumbo frets, the menus are 24.6″, and the neck has a comfortable U profile.

The sonic versatility of this instrument is developed by a Bigsby B6CP tremolo with improved string anchorage (through, for faster string installation).
