Beautiful 1964 Gretsch Clipper, 6186.
Great to see one in this nice a condition. No neck reset required, lovely low action. Some small areas of binding are worn as is common on these most noted is the heal cover which has shrunk.
The Hilo Tron sounds wonderful in this. Has had original machine heads put back on, looks like it has had other at some point. No breaks, black light is perfect.
Plays superb, frets are clean. There is slight wear to the finish consistent with light use of the years. The wooden bridge has been replaced with the correct spec one. Guard is missing but can be found online as original or reissue.
Comes with modern fitted hard shell case.
Although every guitar is checked at the point of buy in for condition we try to describe as accurately as possible and with the nature of every vintage, modern, used guitar you will always find blemishes held in certain lights that we have not solely pointed out.
These are usually very small lacquer marks or polish swirls and you have to expect a margin of very light marks that go undetected in usual lit environments.
