This is absolutely wonderful, Ovation Viper made in 1975 to 1980. This one is close to 1975, the serial is hard to decode to the year.
One of the best set up and playing guitars straight out of the box, a true wonder to play.
The special designed pick ups, describes as PAF’s sound superb and more akin to P90 or mini humbucker. They really have a wonderful unique tone.
The design was adventurous back then and wasn’t met with great appeal but today it is a classic and really looks fantastic.
A total joy to play and probably one of the most comfy solid body guitars I have felt in a while, the right hand just sits perfectly on the tilted bridge design.
Condition wise this is very clean. Some minor tarnishing on the hardware if anything and some very light marks but considering it’s age it has been very well cared for.
Comes with it’s original hard case, nice condition though two of the 4 latches have broken. Still is functional.

Although every guitar is checked at the point of buy in for condition we try to describe as accurately as possible and with the nature of every vintage, modern, used guitar you will always find blemishes held in certain lights that we have not solely pointed out.
These are usually very small lacquer marks or polish swirls and you have to expect a margin of very light marks that go undetected in usual lit environments.
